Due to continued growth, the organisation is recruiting three Contracts Managers to join a high‑performing commercial team.
The Opportunity
As a Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in providing both pre‑ and post‑contract procurement and commercial support for high‑value capital projects, ranging from £50M to £500M.
This position is well‑suited to candidates from a Quantity Surveying background, whether from a client‑side or contractor‑side environment. Experience within the energy or utilities sector is beneficial but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Support senior commercial leaders in negotiating contractual terms and conditions for major infrastructure projects.
- Lead or support the negotiation of contract prices, ensuring value for money and robust price substantiation.
- Engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, demonstrating strong influencing, leadership, and dispute‑resolution skills.
- Manage cost and forecasting processes, including regular cost reporting, change control compliance, payment management, and cost estimating.
- Provide comprehensive post‑contract commercial management, including negotiating and agreeing compensation events and ensuring compliance with internal commercial governance.
- Promote and comply with all health & safety policies, fostering safe working practices both internally and externally.
About You
You will bring:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
- Ideally, membership or working toward membership of a professional body (e.g., RICS, CICES).
- Experience across estimating, sourcing management, cost and budget management, and contract administration.
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts, with experience drafting, interpreting, and managing standard form construction contracts.
- Familiarity with NEC contracts and experience managing bespoke contractual arrangements.
Why Join?
This role offers the chance to be part of nationally significant projects while contributing to a growing and dynamic commercial team. You'll have opportunities for career development, exposure to large‑scale capital programmes, and the chance to shape effective commercial outcomes across a major portfolio.
