We are delighted to be supporting a highly regarded secondary schools in Kensington with the appointment of an exceptional Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant. This is an outstanding opportunity for a high-achieving graduate with a strong background in Mathematics who is eager to gain valuable classroom experience ahead of progressing onto a PGCE or Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme.
This role is particularly well suited to ambitious graduates who are passionate about education and keen to support students in achieving academic excellence in Mathematics.
The Role
As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced Maths teachers to support teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential exposure to Key Stage 5.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting the delivery of high-quality Maths lessons within the classroom.
• Providing 1:1 support to students who require additional guidance or challenge.
• Leading and assisting small group interventions to raise attainment and confidence.
• Supporting students of varying abilities, including high-achieving pupils and those who need extra support.
• Assisting with lesson preparation, resources and classroom organisation.
• Helping to maintain a positive, focused and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a high-calibre graduate who:
• Holds strong A-level results in Mathematics or related subjects.
• Has achieved a 2:1 or above in a degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Maths education.
• Is confident working with secondary-aged students across different year groups.
• Has strong communication skills and a professional, proactive attitude.
• Is considering a future career in teaching via a PGCE or ITT route.
