Summary
Full-time (will consider part-time at a minimum of a 0.8 FTE contract) Permanent appointment Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) is seeking to appoint an experienced and highly organised Departmental Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative and logistical support within the Faculty of Clinical Sciences & International Public Health. This role is central to the effective operation of the Department and Faculty, and will support its research, education and global engagement activities.The postholder will work closely with the Head of Faculty Operations and a small Faculty support team, undertaking a wide range of administrative responsibilities and acting as a key point of contact for academic staff, professional services teams, students, and external stakeholders. The role requires excellent organisational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy academic environment. Key Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesThe Departmental Secretary will be responsible for a broad range of administrative, financial, and organisational duties, including but not limited to:Co-ordinate and provide administrative duties for the DepartmentAdministrate and co-ordinate meetings and visits as appropriateEnsure financial integrity of the DepartmentCo-ordinate resource management for the DepartmentContribute to report preparation The ideal candidate will have strong administrative, organisation and time management skills with proven success in delivering results to demanding deadlines.
