Summary

Junior Accountant - Oldfield Accountancy & Advisory are seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Accountant to join their team in Coventry, West Midlands on a full-time, office-based basis. About the role:

As a Junior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the senior accounting team with day-to-day financial activities. You will assist in the preparation of financial reports and tax returns while developing your technical knowledge and gaining valuable hands-on experience across a range of accounting functions.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

- Assist in preparing financial reports, including statutory, management, and charitable trust accounts.

- Support the preparation of tax returns for self-assessment, corporation, and partnership tax.

- Build and maintain positive client relationships through clear and effective communication.

- Provide timely and accurate financial information to clients, consulting senior accountants where appropriate.

- Ensure all work complies with legal accounting standards and is delivered accurately, on time, and within budget.

About you:

As a Junior Accountant, you will be proactive, detail-focused, and enthusiastic about a career in accounting and finance. You will have a strong willingness to learn, a good foundation in key tax areas, and a genuine desire to develop your skills and knowledge. With excellent communication abilities, you will build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues alike. You are comfortable using Excel and IT systems and keen to expand your experience with accounting software and technical processes.
