Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated senior assistants to join our MRI Imaging team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, based at Hammersmith Hospital
The post will involve providing support to the clinical Radiography team in the MRI scanning unit, dealing directly with staff, patients, relatives and carers.
The department currently opens from 8am until 8.15pm Monday to Sunday, with all shifts being long days. There will be a requirement to work weekend duties as an integral part of the working week.

• The post holder will provide support to the clinical Radiography team within the MRI scanning unit, working directly with staff, patients, relatives, and carers.
• Key responsibilities include welcoming patients to the department, assisting with patient care, and preparing patients for MRI procedures.
• Duties may involve manual handling of bed-bound patients and assisting patients to change into appropriate hospital clothing for scanning. Intravenous cannulation is a required part of patient preparation; training can be provided where necessary.
• Additional responsibilities include supporting the team through maintenance of stock levels, ensuring a clean and safe clinical environment, and undertaking clerical duties such as computer data entry, patient liaison, and appointment scheduling.
• The role will also involve supporting the training of new assistants and liaising effectively with colleagues and members of the public.
