Summary
Location: RAF Coningsby
Contract Duration: 6-month rolling contract
Rate: £18.21 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: 37 hours per week (core site hours apply)
Working Pattern: Monday–Friday (shift work may be required)
Morson Edge are recruiting for an Inventory Controller to support logistics and maintenance operations within a regulated defence environment at RAF Coningsby. This on-site role focuses on accurate inventory control, system updates, and stock accountability, supporting operational delivery through effective materials management.
This position requires prior experience using MJDI and the ability to work flexibly within site core hours based on operational workload.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and control inventory using MJDI systems
Maintain accurate stock records and ensure timely system updates
Support maintenance and operational teams with materials and inventory coordination
Ensure all records and transactions are completed accurately and in line with procedures
Work closely with local line management to support daily operational priorities
Follow all site compliance and control processes
Provide general inventory and logistics support as required
Adjust working hours where requested by management in line with workload demands
Essential Skills
MJDI experience — Essential
Experience in inventory, stores, or logistics within a maintenance or defence environment
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Good communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable working in a controlled, on-site operational environment
Working Hours (On Base)
5 days per week (Monday–Friday)
Core hours typically:
Monday–Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
Friday: 07:30 – 12:00
37 hours per week (excluding lunch breaks)
30-minute daily lunch break (automatically deducted by the time management system)
Start and finish times agreed with local line management
Workload dependent — additional or reduced hours may be requested
Shift work may be required
