About the role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Administrator to support our project delivery teams at our A9 Tomatin to Moy Project in Inverness. This hybrid role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth, compliant, and efficient flow of project information from pre‑construction through to completion, while also supporting the day‑to‑day running of the site office. You’ll act as a key contact for documentation management, system support, and general project administration.What you'll be doing
Document Control- Managing all project document control requirements in line with Business Management System (BMS) standards.
- Ensuring accurate registration, storage, distribution, and archiving of documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Identifying and acting upon contractual requirements related to document control.
- Providing training, guidance, and support to project teams and subcontractors on documentation systems and procedures.
- Continuously improving documentation processes and systems to support project delivery.
- Ensuring efficient archiving so all documentation is stored logically and easily accessible.
- Offering clear feedback to design and project managers on document‑related issues.
- Supporting the compilation of Health & Safety files.
- Managing the biometric induction and access system (M‑Site) for project personnel.
- Ensuring the smooth running of the site office, including the replenishment of supplies such as PPE and welfare materials.
- Accurately collating monthly contractor reports, including all SCAPE and KPI data.
- Demonstrating and promoting Balfour Beatty values in day‑to‑day work.
- Maintaining a strong commitment to Zero Harm.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone who brings a mix of technical capability, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. You should have:
- Strong understanding of document control systems and associated IT tools.
- Experience working within a document control environment.
- Basic understanding of BIM.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with different teams and departments.
- Excellent planning, organisational skills, and determination to see tasks through to completion.
- Experience coordinating the work of others.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
