This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrician to join our repairs and maintenance team.
It is a varied role ranging from working on day-to-day repairs and maintenance through to refurbishments to council housing in Chesterfield. The successful candidate must have the ability to carry out repairs, fault finding and installation work of electrical installations, have proven Inspection and electrical testing experience on domestic properties within this role.
It will be advantageous but not essential to have a knowledge and ability to undertake a range of other associated trade skills and work alongside other trades.
The successful applicant will:
-Have a ‘can do’ approach to work and would enjoy the challenge of making our Housing Property Services even more successful.
-Be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation with AM2 or equivalent
-Hold City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 in Inspection and Testing
-Hold the BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
Ideally have Asbestos Awareness or Cat B training
-Enjoy working both independently and as part of a team
-Be hard‑working, proactive, and able to show initiative
-Have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations
-Demonstrate excellent people skills, care, and compassion
-Previous experience of working in social housing would be beneficial, although not essential.
