IT Support Specialist

Full time starting salary is normally in the range of £29,363 to £34,332 per annum, with potential progression up to £40,180 per annum

Location: Shrivenham, Oxfordshire

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and committed IT Support professional to join our Service Delivery Team based at the Shrivenham site, providing a professional and customer-focused support service for students, staff and associates using the IT facilities.

About the Role
The successful candidate will provide a high-quality customer-focused IT support service to staff and students at the Shrivenham site, providing confident and proactive assistance within a complex IT environment. Using strong investigative and diagnostic skills, they will take ownership of more technically challenging incidents escalated from the IT Service Desk, resolving issues efficiently and in line with agreed service levels.

About You
You will have a proven track record of working in a technical IT support role, providing excellent customer service, with experience of managing incidents throughout the incident lifecycle. You will possess excellent communication skills and strong organisational and time-management skills, have in-depth knowledge of technical IT concepts, and be customer focused.

You will require a flexible approach and the ability to work in what can be a high-pressure environment. You will have a good working knowledge of end-user applications across a range of devices and operating systems. Familiarity with the ITIL Incident Management process would also be advantageous.
