School Crossing Patrol

Salary: £12.85- £13.47 per hour

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 7.05 Hours per week (Term Time Only)

Do you have half an hour to spare in the morning or afternoon?

If so, we’re looking for a School Crossing Patrol who wants to make a difference to the local community in Pickering, Middleton Road, near Pickering Community Junior School.

The Role

Duty times: 8:05 – 08.55 and 14:55 – 15:30 Monday to Friday) (7.05 hours per week) Monday- Friday

Our school crossing patrols provide a valuable service to the local community by ensuring that children and adults can cross the road safely on their route to and from school.

Your duties will include:

Ensure safe road crossing for children and pedestrians during patrol times
Stop traffic using the official ‘STOP’ sign
Conduct pre-duty health and safety checks of the crossing site
Report any hazards, equipment issues, or site concerns to the Patrol Officer
Wear and maintain approved uniform and equipment
