Overview
We are recruiting Cleaners to support welfare and compound cleaning operations for a major highways improvement project at the A47 Thickthorn Interchange. This role supports the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the main construction compound along with mobile welfare facilities across the project.
This is a physically active role working within a live construction environment and will suit candidates who are reliable, safety conscious and confident driving site vehicles.
Duties and Responsibilities
Cleaning office and meeting room environments
Cleaning toilets and washroom facilities
Cleaning kitchenettes and staff welfare areas
Cleaning changing rooms
Maintaining cleanliness of reception areas and corridors
Travelling between welfare units using a company van
Working safely around plant machinery and uneven construction terrain
Essential Requirements
Valid CIS Card
Age 25 or over (insurance requirement for company vehicle)
Full UK Driving Licence held for minimum 2 years
Confident driving vans and navigating construction environments
Able to work safely around large plant and construction activity
Must live within 20 miles of NR9 3AU
Reliable with good attention to detail
Mandatory Training Requirements
Successful applicants must complete the following before starting:
Health & Safety Induction (held Monday or Wednesday – 48 hours notice required)
Site Safety Induction (held Monday or Wednesday – 48 hours notice required)
Drugs and Alcohol Testing (held Monday or Wednesday – 48 hours notice required)
Highways Passport (includes medical assessment)
