Requirements to Become a Licensed Taxi Driver
DBS Check
Over the age of 21
Valid Driver’s License (minimum 12 months since passing your test)
Medical Assessment
Taxi Driver Test
Taxi Knowledge Test (dates available from Westmorland and Furness Council Licensing Authority)
Suitable Vehicle (must meet hackney carriage licensing requirements – details available from your local licensing authority)
Some financial investment in your new business will be required.
