About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to join our team in Hemel Hempstead. This is a key leadership role where you will oversee the implementation of a state-of-the-art storage system (Kardex or equivalent), managing the project from inception to completion, and then leading the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in highly automated or advanced warehouse environments.
Key Responsibilities as a Warehouse Manager:
- Lead the implementation of the new storage system (Kardex or alternative), managing the project from start to finish.
- Oversee and optimise warehouse operations once the system is live.
- Ensure seamless integration of automation and storage technology into daily workflows.
- Develop and enforce operational procedures, health & safety standards, and inventory management practices.
- Manage a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor KPIs, analyse performance, and implement improvements where necessary.
Requirements of a Warehouse Manager:
- Proven experience managing warehouses, preferably with exposure to highly automated environments.
- Demonstrable experience implementing Kardex or similar automated storage/retrieval systems.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee implementations.
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
- Comfortable with operational and strategic responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
