About St Wilfrid's Academy
St Wilfrid's Academy is an all through alternative provision school that supports students from all schools and academies across Doncaster and neighbouring local authorities, across Key Stage 2 to 4. The academy provides full and part time education for children and young people, who for a variety of reasons, are unable to access mainstream education.
We pride ourselves on creating a safe and secure environment which fosters ambition and develops lively and enquiring minds and ensures high aspirations and achievements in all members of our community. Learning is at the heart of everything we do. Our educational offer combines a core curriculum with a range of vocational packages to support students successfully into post 16 pathways. Alongside our academic offer, we also provide a range of therapeutic interventions to aid students with their emotional and mental wellbeing.
As an inclusive organisation we promote courtesy, cooperation, enterprise and initiative as well as a strong sense of social responsibility and community.
The June 2025 ungraded Ofsted visit generated an ‘improving’ letter building on the previous December 2019 Inspection which already judged the school to be ‘Good’ with ‘Outstanding’ Personal Development.
Numerous accolades have followed with St Wilfrid's Academy winning the IQM 'National Champion of Inclusion Award' 2023/24 and more recently being named NASEN ‘Alternative Provision of the Year’ in October 2025.
If you are interested in working within an inclusive school, supporting the most vulnerable students to reach their full potential, St Wilfrid's offers this opportunity.
Visits to the academy would be warmly welcomed by appointment. Please contact the academy on 01302 562540 if you would like to arrange a visit.
