Summary

Apprentice Water Operative

£11 per hour

Swindon

Are you looking for a practical apprenticeship, where you get to be outdoors and hands on?

....If yes, then we have a great opportunity for you

We have a fantastic opportunity to begin your career with a fully funded Level 2 Apprenticeship, in Water Industry Network Operations.
Clancy is a great place to start your career, as we’re a corporate member of the AOA (Association of Apprentices), that connects apprentices across the UK via a dedicated social and professional networking platform.

The Role...

During this 21-month apprenticeship, we’ll teach you skills that are in demand nationwide, while you work on essential water networks, ensuring everyone has access to clean, safe water.
You’ll learn to carry out essential works while maintaining high standards in quality, health, safety, and environmental practices.
As part of your apprenticeship, you’ll attend block release training sessions for two weeks every couple of months with fellow apprentices in Bridgwater, Somerset. All travel, food, and accommodation costs for these sessions are fully covered.

We’d love to hear from you if you can demonstrate...

  • A genuine eagerness to learn and the willingness to work outdoors in all weather – don’t worry, we’ll provide all the necessary protective clothing.
  • A full UK driving licence or access to your own transport, to be able to arrive at work for 730am.
  • GCSE passes (or equivalent) in Maths and English are preferable but not essential

Our Company

Every day we work smarter, greener and use our imaginations.

Our purpose at Clancy is simple - we make life better for everyone’s growing families. We play a vital role in providing fresh drinking water and power to millions of homes and businesses and so much more.

We are one of the biggest family owned construction businesses in the UK and we care about our people, our clients and the environment.

What Next

You apply, and we respond within two weeks (we know how annoying it is not to hear anything back)! If you don’t receive feedback within that timescale, please don’t be afraid to chase us - one of our values is to do what we say we will do!

Benefits

In addition to helping you reach your career goals, a competitive salary, pension, healthcare and holiday allowance starting at 22 days per annum, we also offer perks including Clancy Xtras, our employee benefits programme with discounts for numerous well-known retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Currys PC World and Vue Cinemas, cycle to work scheme as well as an Employee Assistance Programme.

Clancy is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all our employees. If you require any reasonable adjustments to be made for you to attend an interview, please do let us know and we will be happy to accommodate.

We are proud signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant and Disability Confident Committed.
