Thrive Recruitment Group is recruiting Alternative Provision Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist outdoor provision in South Brent, supporting young learners with SEMH and ASD needs.
This role is ideal for individuals who understand that some children thrive best through practical, hands-on, and outdoor learning experiences, and who are passionate about supporting learners beyond traditional classroom settings.
As an Alternative Provision Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual learner needs
- Support the delivery of creative, experiential, and outdoor learning activities
- Use positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Help learners develop confidence, resilience, and essential life skills
- Support engagement across curriculum-based and practical learning
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions as part of the learning approach

We're looking for people who are:
- Experienced in supporting learners with SEMH and/or ASD
- Calm, nurturing, and proactive in their approach
- Confident using behaviour management strategies
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working outdoors
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting learner wellbeing
Experience in education, care, youth work, or outdoor learning is highly valued.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Two professional references
