Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST3-5/ST6+) in Radiology (Cross Sectional) at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) to commence from 5th August 2026 until 3rd August 2027.

The post holder will also be expected to participate in the Senior Radiology Registrar on-call rota, currently a full shift pattern, albeit with Consultant supervision.

This timetable will be flexible and chosen by the candidate to include sub-specialist reporting sessions as well and multidisciplinary team meetings.

In order to be considered applicants must meet the essential criteria stated in the job description and have:

1. Completed a minimum of four years of training as a Specialty Registrar in Radiology in the UK or proof of equivalent training.

2.Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council is required by the time of commencing the post.

3. Experience working in acute radiology / recent experience with out of hours on call.

4. Within 5 years of CCT or equivalent completion of training or within a current training post .

5. FRCR 2B examination is not essential but desired.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of starting the post in August 2026 is mandatory.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.

Sub-specialist interest sessions (80%):The successful candidate will have the opportunity to obtain training in a sub-specialist interest with a preference for: Chest/Cardiac Radiology, Gastrointestinal Radiology, Gynaecological & Uroradiology or Oncological Radiology. These can have the opportunity to learn relevant subspeciality interventional skills (e.g. biopsies & drains) and participate in research, audit and teaching at Cambridge University Hospital.

General radiology sessions (20%):Reporting chest and body CT, hot seat plain film reporting, general US, presentation at clinico-radiological meetings.
