Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 22-year-old man living in the Aberdare area, I live with my parents, older sister and our cat.
My hobbies include designing and constructing Lego, reading books about space and Sc fi and watching history documentaries. I am a massive fan of Doctor Who and Dad’s Army.
I have been diagnosed with autism; I am easy going and the only thing I get anxious about is thoughts of power cuts. I can get a little frustrated at times and can tend to occasionally hit myself when carrying out tasks.
I love all foods apart from curry, but my favourite food is Italian.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To take me out in the community.
HOURS OF WORK
4 hours a week.
RATES OF PAY
£14.00 per hour
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
Visiting local museums
Going to the cinema
Having a bowling session
Visiting local castles.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Someone who is chatty with a good sense of humour
Experience with learning difficulties would be desirable but not essential
Someone who can drive.
ABOUT THE JOB
This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four-weekly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.
