Min y Mynydd Residential Home is looking for 5 casual Care Assistants to provide care and support for older adults living with a dementia. You will be required to carry out duties to support residents in a dignified and respectful manner, promoting independence and wellbeing and adopt a person centred approach.
Experience of working with older people would be beneficial although not essential. You must possess clear understanding of the sensitive and confidential nature of the post and be courteous and responsive to the needs of individuals.
Rota patterns of work are over a 7-day period. Approximate shift times are 07:00 -14:30 & 14:30 – 22:00.
For the role, we ask that you:
1. Are in receipt of / working towards Level 2 in care (Previously known as NVQ 2) or a willingness to achieve the qualification within a specified timeframe.
2. Are able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
3. Have knowledge of the principles that underpin quality care e.g. dignity and choice.
4. Are able and willing to work flexibly including weekends, bank holidays and sleep in duties.
