Summary
To carry a clinical caseload of individuals including those with complex occupational therapy difficulties. To interpret referrals, conduct initial interviews; assess the capacities and limitations of the patient/client. To plan and implement appropriate treatment plans involving patients/clients/relatives/carers and multidisciplinary colleagues as appropriate. Treatment may be delivered at the base or in a relevant community setting. One of many contributing as part of the leadership team ensuring teams objectives are in line with the overall objectives of the inpatient therapy team. To lead the Occupational Therapy team in the inpatient services and ensure the teams objectives are in line with the overall objectives of the inpatient therapy team. To coordinate the delivery of Occupational Therapy across inpatient services and provide clinical and managerial supervision to more junior members of the team.
