Summary
As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Strength and Conditioning, you will contribute to a range of educational and programme delivery activities, including teaching, assessment and student support across postgraduate provision. You will also play a key role in curriculum development and quality assurance.
The role will involve contributing to the design and delivery of applied, practice-focused learning. You will also contribute to programme development, recruitment and admissions activity.
About you
We are seeking an experienced strength and conditioning practitioner with interest in education and applied practice. You will have a sound understanding of strength and conditioning principles, including programme design, training adaptation, performance monitoring and evidence-informed coaching practice.
You will have experience of teaching, supporting or developing learners within higher education with the ability to communicate complex and applied concepts. Experience of contributing to curriculum development, applied learning activities or placement support would be advantageous.
A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable; however, applicants who can demonstrate postgraduate-level study, substantial professional experience and/or involvement in teaching or practitioner education will also be positively considered.
Accreditation with an appropriate professional body in strength and conditioning or a related discipline would be desirable.
