Summary

We’re looking for Service Assistants to join us at Hill Top to help busy teams throughout our visitor operations.

Salary: £12.25 an hour - subject to change along with National Living Wage increases.

Duration: Fixed Term Contract 9 March – 13 December 2026

Hours: Flexible working pattern over 7 days a week. Various hours available from 15 – 22.5 hours per week. Shift pattern is 9.15am – 17.15pm. This may vary for special events.

Interview date: Friday 27th February and Tuesday 3rd March

What you'll be doing
The core part of your job is to give vital and positive support to your colleagues, wherever you’re needed, with a focus on greeting and helping visitors.

No two days will be the same. You can expect to meet many different people and gain experience in different visitor areas. You’ll get involved in all kinds of tasks, including: greeting visitors on arrival outdoors in the car park and welcome gate, serving visitors on tills in the visitor reception and shop, restocking the shelves in the shop, maintaining excellent standards of presentation across all visitor areas, as well as creating a warm, friendly first impression of Hill Top through great conversations across site including inside Hill Top house.

Most importantly, you’ll be talking to visitors, answering their questions and making sure they can find everything they need to enjoy their day.
