Job Title: SEN Maths Teacher
Location: Baston House School, Bromley, BR2 7AB
Salary: Up to £45,000.00 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 4:30pm
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: March 2026

Baston House School is seeking a passionate, creative, and reflective SEN Maths Teacher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver maths in a way that builds confidence, curiosity, and real-world skills for students with special educational needs.

About the Role

As SEN Maths Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, inclusive maths education tailored to individual needs. Working with small groups and one-to-one learners, you will design engaging, accessible lessons that support academic progress, personal development, and wellbeing.

You’ll work collaboratively with teaching colleagues, Learning Support Assistants, care staff, and families to ensure consistent, joined-up support. This role suits a teacher who enjoys adapting learning creatively, values strong relationships, and is driven to achieve positive outcomes for every student.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and adapt Maths lessons for individuals and small groups to meet varied needs
Develop schemes of work, learning modules, and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, ensuring consistent communication with colleagues and families
Provide guidance to Learning Support Assistants and support staff for effective lesson delivery
Organise classrooms, resources, and displays to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
Support whole-school priorities, contribute to the School Development Plan, and implement policies consistently
Stay up to date with developments in Maths, SEN practice, and wider educational approaches
Experience and Qualifications Required

Experience teaching within an educational setting
Experience planning, delivering, and teaching lessons
Experience supporting pupils with additional or special educational needs (highly desirable)
