Civil Engineering Degree Apprentice

We're looking for a Civil Engineering Degree Apprentice to join our Design Team based in one of our Kier Offices, working towards a Level 6 apprenticeship in Civil Engineering. Location: Based out of a Kier office in either: Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Leeds, Liverpool, London, or Norwich

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £22,000 - with salary earning potential of £35k+ upon completion of the course!

Start Date: September 2026

How does an apprenticeship work?

As a Civil Engineering Degree Apprentice, you'll have the opportunity to gain practical experience whilst you study towards a BEng in Civil Engineering with our university partner, Coventry, all tuition and accommodation fees covered by us.

You'll work closely with the Design team to support in providing expert design, engineering and technical advice in Kier.



Your day to day will include:

-Learn about the production of intelligent BIM models to support tender schemes and project delivery.

-Get involved in the production of 2D CAD drawings to support engineering functions, including permanent works design of structures, utilities and infrastructure and temporary works design, above and below ground in all materials

-Supporting the engineering function with management of project documentation and technical administration

-Supporting the engineering function with analytical design of temporary works, above and below ground in all materials

-Attending university during pre-determined block weeks to attend lectures and meet other students on your course.

What are we looking for?

To enrol onto your degree, you will need:

-5 GCSE's graded 9-4 including English. Minimum grade 5 Maths GCSE

-3 A Levels BBC minimum, excludes general studies and must include Maths OR BTEC Extended Diploma (DMM) in a Construction or Engineering related subject, with a least a Merit in the Maths unit

-Equivalent to 112 UCAS Points
