We're looking for a Rail Estimator Apprentice to join our Transportation Team based in either London, Northamptonshire or Manchester, working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in Project Control Technician
Transportation - Build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.
Location: Based in either London, Rushden or Manchester
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £20,800
Start Date: September 2026

How does an apprenticeship work?
As a Rail Estimator Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship in Project Control Technician , giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Transportation team team to design, build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people
Your day to day will include:
-Measure and work out how much material or work is needed by using drawings and instructions
-Read and compare the prices that companies send back
-Put together clear reports to help senior staff decide which option is best
-Help talk through prices and details after a bid is submitted, before the project starts.
-Look for ways to save money or do the work more efficiently without lowering quality.

-Have GCSE Grade 4 or above in Maths and English
-Are punctual, self-motivated, and willing to learn
-Have the ability to work collaboratively with a team
