Summary

Responsibilities:

• Carry out construction, repair, and maintenance work on buildings and other structures
• Use a variety of tools and equipment to complete building tasks
• Work from drawings, and specifications to plan building activities
• Undertake rip out work, bricklaying, roofing, studwork, boarding, minor plumbing, kitchen installations, bathroom installations etc.
• Carry out finishing work, such as plastering, painting, and tiling
• Manage the ordering and delivery of building materials and equipment
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
• Attend to any maintenance or repair work required on existing structures
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and other team members
• Take accurate measurements and prepare the work site for carpentry projects.
• Create detailed drawings and plans for cabinetry, framing, and other construction projects.
• Design and install fitted wooden shelves, cabinets, and drywall.
• Install fixtures and fittings, such as handles, locks, and hinges.
• Evaluate and select materials based on quality, strength, and budgetary considerations.
• Interpret architectural designs and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers, and other tradesmen.
• Adhere to established standards for kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects.
• Source timber and other materials required for woodworking or joinery projects.
• Assess and review additional carpentry or joinery refurbishments.
• Perform finish carpentry tasks, including siding, flooring, and built-ins.

Requirements:
• Fully qualified carpenter with multi trade experience
• Enthusiasm, reliability, and a positive attitude towards work.
• Ability to work effectively in a small team under the guidance of a project manager.
• Strong sense of ownership and the ability to take initiative.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
