Summary

Consultant Psychiatrist – ADHD & Autism Assessment Services

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to provide expert diagnostic assessments and treatment planning for ADHD and Autism as part of a multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental service. This role offers flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Location: Preston, Lancashire
Working Model: Hybrid (Remote & On-site) / On-site

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments for ADHD and Autism across age groups

Provide accurate diagnosis in line with DSM-5 / ICD-11 and NICE guidelines

Develop and document individualized treatment and management plans

Prescribe, monitor, and review medications where clinically appropriate

Produce clear and timely clinical reports for patients and referring professionals

Collaborate with psychologists, nurses, therapists, and other allied health professionals

Maintain professional standards, confidentiality, and patient safety at all times

Essential Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in ADHD and Autism assessment and management

GMC registration (Specialist Register – Psychiatry)

CCT or equivalent qualification in Psychiatry

Strong knowledge of neurodevelopmental clinical pathways and NICE guidance

Excellent communication and report-writing skills

Right to Work in the UK

Enhanced DBS check (Adults & Children)

Professional Indemnity Insurance

Fit to Work / Occupational Health clearance
