Action Staffing Ltd is looking for an inspiring and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join a high-quality setting in Plumstead. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior practitioner to take ownership of a room, mentor a junior team, and drive excellence in Early Years education.
Key Responsibilities
Room Management: Lead the daily operations of your designated room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-achieving environment.
EYFS Excellence: Oversee the planning and implementation of a creative, play-based curriculum that meets the needs of every child.
Staff Mentoring: Support and guide Early Years Practitioners and assistants, modeling best practices and conducting peer observations.
Key Person Leadership: Manage the observation and assessment process for the room, ensuring all children's developmental milestones are accurately tracked.
Partnership: Maintain strong, professional relationships with parents and carers to support each child's learning journey.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications: Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years (Higher levels or specialized training are a plus).
Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Practitioner or Room Leader within a UK nursery setting.
Knowledge: Expert understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted requirements.
Skills: Strong leadership, excellent communication, and a passion for developing young minds.
