- This is an opportunity for a Strategy Manager to take on a varied and exciting new role

- You’ll work from home some of the time, but you’ll also spend a significant amount of time working from the London office
What you'll do
You’ll provide assistance in developing business plans, including the structuring of plans and analysis and offering challenge to improve the quality of output. You’ll prepare reports for an executive and board audience.
You’ll also provide analysis on a range of strategic themes including businesses performance, competitor activity, potential business opportunities and customer behaviours.
You’ll also:
- Lead supporting work to establish the development of the function’s strategic direction, and collaborate to develop and drive strategies to improve the function’s performance
- Lead rigorous competitor and financial analysis to identify performance drivers, market shifts, and strategic opportunities, translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations that inform executive level decision making
- Maximise profitability via the use of actionable analytics to support key business objectives, and create meaningful analysis to develop, maintain and improve high quality and validated strategies
- Contribute to work with Economics, Finance and Risk teams to develop scenarios and model financial outputs and forecasts
The skills you'll need
You’ll need a strong academic record in a numerate or quantitative discipline, preferably an MBA, or a proven record of converting data and research into a fact base for strategic content.
You should also have strong analytical skills and the ability to simplify complex tasks, ensuring that these are effectively managed and communicated.
You’ll also need:
- Good collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and external stakeholders
- A background in Financial Services, Consultancy, or industry specific strategic development
- An extensive understanding of Financial Services industry and regulation
- An understanding of Finance and Risk policies and frameworks
- An understanding of the relevant regulatory requirements, risk management, control framework and governance processes and experience in responding to regulator reviews
