Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
The role is for 35 hours per week, term time only, working from 8.15am to 4.15pm, with a one-hour unpaid break included each day. The post is paid on Salary Scale H2 at £28,617 per annum, which equates to a pro rata salary of £23,795.04. There is more than one position available, with opportunities offered on both a permanent basis and on a temporary contract until 31st August 2026, with the potential for the temporary role to become permanent.
Required for an immediate start, an enthusiastic and committed person to support and work with students within and outside of the classroom. It is essential that applicants hold a degree qualification or equivalent.
The successful candidate will support students both in the mainstream classroom and also in a 1:1 capacity. The successful candidate will also be expected to lead small group sessions within the core subject areas of Maths and English. An interest in working with students with a wide range of special educational needs including emotional, social and mental health needs is essential, together with an interest in supporting second language learners. A caring, flexible and common sense approach is important.
