Morgan Hunt are working closely with a large college in Rochdale who require a Functional skills Maths and English tutor to deliver lessons within their SEN department to learners with complex additional learning needs.
Functional Skills Tutor - Level 1, 2 and Entry level
Location: Rochdale
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: Up to GBP30 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Morgan Hunt is recruiting on behalf of a large college in Rochdale who currently require a Functional Skills Tutor to deliver Maths and English at Entry Level 1 and Level 2.
We are seeking nurturing and dedicated Functional Skills Tutors to support young adults 16 - 25 years old. All learners will have an EHCP for needs such as complex Autism, ADHD and/or other learning difficutlies
Due to the needs of the students, we are looking for tutors who are patient, flexible, and passionate about helping young people succeed with confidence and engage with learning.
Position Details
· Pay rate: Up to GBP30 per hour (depending on experience/qualifications)
· Hours: 20 hours per week Monday - Friday (including planning time)
· Location: Rochdale
· Duration: Ongoing
· Access to our Resource Hub, including learning materials
· Access to CPD-accredited courses and training
Your Role
· Deliver small group Functional Skills tuition (Maths and/or English)
· Plan and deliver personalised lessons to address individual learning gaps
· Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback
· Create a supportive and motivating learning environment
· Complete daily attendance records and weekly reports
Requirements
To be eligible for this role, candidates must:
· Have previous experience delivering Functional Skills
· Have the right to work in the UK
· Hold an enhanced DBS (Child Barred List) registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
· Be able to provide references covering the last two years of education/employment
