Summary

Our client, a renowned educational institution in West Drayton, Greater London, is seeking a talented and experienced Full-time SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teacher to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional support and educational opportunities for students with diverse learning needs.

As a Full-time SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing tailored lesson plans that cater to the unique requirements of your students. Your role will involve collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including learning support assistants, therapists, and parents, to ensure a comprehensive approach to each student's development.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong background in special education, with a deep understanding of effective teaching strategies and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to adapt your teaching methods to suit the individual needs of your students.

- Developing and delivering engaging, differentiated lesson plans that address the specific educational, social, and emotional needs of your students
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to create and implement holistic support plans for each student
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and the wider team
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation to track student development and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations
- Actively participating in continuous professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest best practices in special education
- Fostering a inclusive, nurturing, and safe learning environment that promotes the well-being and growth of all students
- Advocating for the rights and needs of students with special educational needs, and serving as a liaison between the school, families, and external support services

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed. ) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), with a specialism in special education
- Substantial experience working as a SEN Teacher in a primary or secondary school setting
- Proven track record of effectively supporting students with a wide range of learning difficulties, including (but not limited to) autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, and physical disabilities
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in special education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Creativity, flexibility, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special educational needs
