With over 30 offices UK wide, Canada, USA, Australia and across Europe, we are the UK's leading technical recruitment agency and the 3rd largest globally for our engineering side of the business.

From entry-level training to reskilling and AI-enabled learning, we close today’s gaps and prepare for tomorrow’s. We make skills strategic. We make development continuous. We make people future ready.

Position Overview:

The main purpose of this role is to provide accurate financial insight, analysis, and reporting to enable smooth financial integration between two businesses. The role ensures that financial information is reliable, comparable, and aligned across both entities, supports modelling activities, and helps establish consistent processes, controls, and reporting frameworks that underpin the combined business’s future performance.

This is initially a 6-month fixed term contract, based out of our Wigan office on a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in aligning accounting policies, reporting standards, and financial controls between the merging entities.
• Contribute to the development of the combined operating model, including cost structures, allocation methods, and reporting frameworks.
• Participate in integration workstreams (e.g., systems, processes, controls, budgeting) and provide financial insight to support decision‑making.
• Help prepare financial inputs for synergy tracking, integration milestones, and post‑merger performance reporting.
• Support the consolidation of financial results across the merging entities.
• Maintain accurate cost centre reporting and support budget holders through the transition period.
• Help assess and harmonise financial controls, processes, and policies across both organisations.
• Identify gaps or risks arising from the merger and support the implementation of mitigation actions.
• Contribute to the design and rollout of new processes, reporting templates, and financial governance frameworks.
• Communicate financial insights clearly to non‑finance stakeholders, particularly around integration impacts.
• Build strong relationships across both organisations to facilitate smooth information flow and alignment.
• To provide ad hoc support to both the Finance Director and the Finance Manager.

Key competencies & required experience:

• Strong management accounting experience ideally part‑qualified or newly qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), QBE considered.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data manipulation).
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Experience producing management accounts, variance analysis, and financial commentary.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage competing deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills, with confidence presenting financial information to senior stakeholders.
• Experience working on mergers, acquisitions, or large‑scale business change programmes.
• Knowledge of consolidation processes and multi‑entity reporting.
• Familiarity with project accounting or synergy tracking.

• Bupa Healthcare
• Investment into your learning & development
• A colleague health and well-being programme
