Summary

Mechanical Fitter - Temp to Perm
Uddingston
£18.23 per hour

Looking for a role where your mechanical skills really matter? We need a solid, hands-on Mechanical Fitter to join a busy industrial maintenance team in Uddingston. This is temp-to-perm, giving you the chance to lock down long-term work while keeping heavy machinery running at full power.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Working on heavy industrial machinery, pumps, valves, and pipework

  • Tackling both planned and reactive maintenance jobs

  • Diagnosing faults and fixing breakdowns fast

  • Following strict safety procedures under a Permit to Work system

  • Pulling together with a multi-skilled, no-nonsense maintenance team

Who We're After

  • Qualified Mechanical Fitter with solid hands-on experience

  • Confident on pumps, valves, pipework, and heavy machinery

  • Safety-first, understands RAMS and site Health & Safety

  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work under pressure

  • Can communicate clearly on site and get the job done

  • Willing to work overtime when needed

  • Safety Passport is a bonus (training can be provided)

  • Water or wastewater experience is a plus, but mechanical skill is king
