Summary


Are you a nurse who wants to make a difference in the lives of children, young people and their families across Wolverhampton? If so, then we need you to help us in the delivery of a dynamic and innovative School Nursing Service.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join the Wolverhampton School Nursing service based at Primrose Health Centre to work as part of a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) School nurse team supporting special schools within the City and in Alternative provision.

The candidate will be required to hold anNMC Registration Nurse sub part 1/2, Child Branch, Registered Sick Children’s Nurse (RSCN), Learning Disability and have a Degree level education [Health Related]. They must also have experience of working with children with complex cognitive difficulties and/or Social and Emotional difficulties.



You will be required to work flexibly and creatively to best engage and meet the diverse health needs of the school-aged population.

Providing a preventative healthcare service to children, young people with SEND and their families.

To include:

Health Promotion andHealth Education in 1-1s, small groups or in larger groups.

Planning and delivering packages of care.

Contributing to safeguarding children.

Working alongside a multidisciplinary team.

Working across the community.
