Overall Purpose of role
Visual inspection of high quality finished parts, ensuring customer standards are met.
Responsibilities
* Visually inspect High Quality finished parts to detailed customer Quality requirements
* Checking the presence of details such as metal fixings and fixing tape
* Cross hatch testing to ensure coating adhesion
* Ensuring documentation is completed correctly, including traceability data
* Address all customer requirements
* Identify paint flaws against master plaques/samples
* Dealing with customer queries and complaints
* Use of manual and automated method for checking colour and surface finish
Competencies
* Visual defect identification
* Inspection equipment proficiency
* Knowledge of quality standards and documentation
* Attention to detail
Experience Desired & Required
* Experienced in the use of standard measuring equipment and processes (Mic’s, Vernier callipers etc.)
* Basic knowledge of ISO9001 & IATF 16949 requirements is a distinct advantage
* Interaction with MRP/ERP systems (Javelin preferably)
* Good computer literacy in particular all MS Office programs.
* Experience working with injection moulding or plastic assembly processes
* Open and approachable communication abilities
* Able to work well alone and in a team
