Overall Purpose of role
Visual inspection of Moulded prepped polymer & carbon parts. Ensure parts are ready for Paint Line.
Responsibilities
* Visually inspect prepped parts prior to being handed to the paint line
* Ensuring documentation is completed correctly, including traceability data
* Address all customer requirements
* Dealing with customer queries and complaints
* Identify flaws in Moulded parts and liaise with Mouldshop department to help establish route cause
* Day to day interaction with the Javelin MRP system and QMS database to ensure ongoing compliance. Making amendments to
documentation of non-compliance or process improvement
* Knowledge of ISO 9001/ IATF 16949
* Assist in the NPI process for all new parts being introduced into the Prep Area
* Assist in the improvement of skill sets within the Prep Team
Competencies
* Technical knowledge and surface preparation
* Inspection equipment proficiency
* Knowledge of quality standards and documentation
* Attention to detail
Experience Desired & Required
* Experienced in the use of standard measuring equipment and processes (Mic’s, Vernier callipers etc.)
* Basic knowledge of ISO9001 & IATF 16949 requirements is a distinct advantage
* Interaction with MRP/ERP systems (Javelin preferably)
* Good computer literacy in particular all MS Office programs.
* Experience working with injection moulding or plastic assembly processes
* Experience working with carbon components
* Open and approachable communication abilities
* Able to work well alone and in a team
