Are you a seasoned Project Management professional ready to take a defining seat within a premier multidisciplinary consultancy? Stafford Lawrence is partnering with a prestigious firm in the heart of Manchester to appoint an Associate Director of Project Management.
This is a high-impact leadership appointment. You will be tasked with spearheading the delivery of major capital projects across the Education, Healthcare, and Mixed-Use sectors, while playing a pivotal role in the strategic growth of the North West region.
Key Requirements for the Associate Director of Project Management
To be successful in this executive-level appointment, candidates must demonstrate:
Status: Chartered status is essential (MRICS, MCIOB, or MAPM).
Experience: Significant post-qualification experience within a professional Construction Consultancy, with a track record of leading multi-million-pound schemes.
Technical Mastery: Expert knowledge of both JCT and NEC contract suites, acting as the final point of authority on contract administration.
Commercial Leadership: Proven ability to manage divisional P&L, resource planning, and fee forecasting.
Network: An established professional network within the Manchester and North West construction market is highly desirable.
The Role: Strategic Leadership & Regional Impact
As Associate Director, you will sit at the intersection of technical excellence and business development. Your duties will include:
Divisional Leadership: Taking ownership of the Project Management lifecycle for high-value North West frameworks and private sector accounts.
Client Account Management: Acting as the primary strategic interface for prestigious clients in Mixed Use, Residential, Education and Healthcare sectors.
Business Development: Identifying and securing new instructions, leading bid submissions, and cross-selling the firm’s QS and BS services.
Mentorship: Managing a team of Project Managers and guiding APC candidates through to Chartership.
The Manchester Executive Package

Salary: £80,000 ++ (Base is negotiable based on your specific track record and regional following).
Bonus: Highly competitive, performance-related executive bonus scheme.
