Summary

Maths Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting April 2026

Duties as Maths Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons for KS3 and KS4
  • Support pupils in developing strong numeracy and problem‑solving skills
  • Maintain high behaviour expectations and promote positive routines
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs
  • Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative approaches
  • Assess progress within lessons and provide constructive feedback
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal Maths Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Maths
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach confidently at secondary level
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to motivate and support learners of varied abilities
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Reflective, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
