As an Administrator in our Restart team, you’ll support our Operations Team delivering the Restart Contract. This is a key role providing high-quality administrative and customer service support to colleagues and programme participants, helping to ensure the smooth and compliant delivery of services.
What you’ll do as a Administrator
- Deliver consistently high levels of customer service to participants, learners, and colleagues (face-to-face, telephone, and email)
- Manage reception duties and ensure a professional, welcoming environment
- Monitor shared inboxes and respond to or escalate queries as appropriate
- Handle phone enquiries, escalating where necessary
- Maintain accurate participant and learner records across IT systems
- Support booking of rooms, tutors, courses, and external examinations
- Manage petty cash and participant expense reimbursements
- Order office supplies and support facilities and office management
- Assist with business continuity, health & safety, and administrative processes
- Support learning delivery administration, including attendance tracking, certification, and learner registrations
- Undertake additional duties appropriate to the role
Does this sound like you?
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- High attention to detail with accurate data entry skills
- Ability to manage workload proactively and meet deadlines
- Flexible, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Vetting and checks:
This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, depending on the nature of the role, you may need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
