TeacherActive is proud to be working with a range of supportive and inclusive schools in Cambridge, who are currently seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties, and who is committed to making a positive impact in the classroom.

The Role:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN


  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management


  • Supporting pupils’ academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and social development


  • Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment


    The Ideal Candidate:

    • Has experience working with children with SEN (school-based or relevant transferable experience)


    • Is patient, nurturing, and resilient


    • Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents


    • Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to obtain one)
