Summary
Nursery Manager (Level 3) – £36,000 – Permanent
Set within a large character property, this nursery provides care and early education for children from 3 months to 5 years. The Nursery Manager will lead the day-to-day operation of the setting, overseeing EYFS delivery, staff management, and regulatory compliance. The role is perfect for an experienced Nursery Manager or a highly experienced Deputy ready to step into full responsibility.
Before You Apply
- This role requires proven experience as a Nursery Manager or a very experienced Deputy Manager in an EYFS setting.
- Applicants must hold a relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
- This position is not suitable for newly qualified practitioners or candidates without nursery management experience.

What You’ll Need
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
- Recent experience as a Nursery Manager or senior Deputy Manager
- Strong working knowledge of the EYFS and regulatory requirements
- Confidence leading staff, managing performance, and maintaining standards
- Ability to manage a busy nursery environment while staying compliant
- Experience supporting Ofsted inspections or regulatory visits
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery across all age groups
- Implement the EYFS and monitor planning, observations, and record keeping
- Manage staffing, ratios, and deployment across the setting
- Maintain compliance with safeguarding, regulatory, and quality standards
- Build effective working relationships with parents, carers, and families
- Work with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and external agencies when required
