Summary
Level 3 Early Years Practitioner – Barnsley (S72)
We are looking for a Level 3 qualified Practitioner who genuinely enjoys the "creative chaos" of early years. We aren't looking for someone to sit on the sidelines; we want a proactive educator who can turn a simple morning into a springboard for a child’s development.
The Essentials (Requirements) * Qualification: You must hold a "Full and Relevant" Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or BTEC).
Core Skills: A solid understanding of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and how to implement it creatively.
Safeguarding: A clear commitment to keeping children safe. All successful candidates will undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
Communication: Strong spoken and written English to manage observations and parent handovers professionally.
Stamina: The physical ability to be active with children all day—from floor play to outdoor exploration.
What You’ll Do * The Architect of Play: Plan and lead adult-led activities that spark imagination, moving beyond basic crafts into genuine discovery.
A Key Person: Take ownership of a small group, tracking their development and building strong, professional bonds with their families.
Resilience & Empathy: Help young learners navigate big emotions and social boundaries, teaching them how to share and build confidence.
Setting the Standard: Take pride in your room, ensuring it’s an inspiring environment that you’d be happy to leave ready for the next day's adventures.
What We Offer * Competitive Pay: Rates starting at £10.85 (ages 18-20) and up to £12.85 depending on age and experience.
Growth: A supportive environment with a wide range of employee benefits and ongoing training.
