We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled legal professional, working alongside a collegiate and supportive team.
To provide general and comprehensive advice, assistance and legal representation
to the Council particularly to Social Services (Children) with emphasis on matters
pertaining to the Children Act 1989, Deprivation of Liberty in Domestic and Care
settings, Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014 as well as proceedings
under the Adoption and Children Act 2002.
To ensure compliance with all requisite legal proceedings and the fulfilment of statutory functions.
You will have excellent communication skills and be motivated to support the Local
Authority in the above specified areas in a wide range of cases. Local Authority experience is an advantage, but not an essential requirement.
Training and development will be provided in areas where the successful candidate may have less experience. Mentoring and support from experienced legal colleagues is available in areas where an applicant has less experience. The Council is committed to professional development and personal improvement.
