Essential Criteria
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Able to communicate effectively with a range of people
• To organise and participate in the activities with the pupils
• Excellent listening skills
• Work in line with the school’s behaviour policy
• Be able to use a range of strategies for managing pupil behaviour
• Awareness of equal opportunities issues
• Able to form and maintain appropriate professional relationships and boundaries with the children
• Knowledge and understanding of the school’s Health and Safety and safeguarding policy
• Prompt and reliable
• Willing to be flexible and to work in different parts of the school
Desirable
• Experience of working with children in a supervisory capacity in a school setting
• First Aid Qualification
• The ability to work effectively under pressure
• Be prepared to get involved in other aspects of school life as appropriate
