Summary


A 53-year-old woman with Spinal Muscular Atrophy is looking for a reliable, proactive and physically capable Carer/PA/Housekeeper to join her established 24-hour care team. She is sociable, busy and home-loving, and requires support both inside her home and when attending meetings and activities outside.
She uses an electric wheelchair and requires assistance with ceiling-track hoists for transfers. Full training will be provided.

Hoisting (ceiling track system – training provided)
Daily exercises and stretching routines (training provided)
Assistance with dressing, washing and general personal routines
General housekeeping and maintaining a clean, organised home
Ensuring a dust-free environment due to respiratory sensitivities
Supporting with cooking and food preparation
Managing domestic tasks throughout the day
Accompanying her both at home and to external meetings or appointments
Confidently driving a large van
Helping her maintain an active, sociable household environment

Must be competent and comfortable around animals (dogs, cats and a rabbit live in the home)
Confident driving a large van
Comfortable taking on physical tasks
Efficient, organised and able to use initiative
Open-minded, non-discriminatory and respectful in all interactions
Must be self-employed
Must be reliable and able to work 12-hour shifts
Practical, capable and physically able
Positive, friendly and adaptable
Comfortable working in a busy, pet-friendly home
Someone who enjoys supporting an active, sociable individual
