Your new role
Quantity Surveyor to support a project on the outskirts of Cambridge, consisting high-quality residential flats and a commercial unit. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes ownership of cost control, and can guide a project from early-stage budgeting through to final account.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and cashflow forecasts
- Conduct regular cost reporting and advise on cost-saving opportunities
- Manage procurement, tendering, and contractor negotiations
- Assess valuations, variations, and payment applications
- Provide commercial oversight throughout construction
- Support with contract administration and final accounts
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on residential or mixed‑use schemes
- Strong understanding of UK construction costs, procurement routes, and contracts
- Able to work independently and communicate clearly with project stakeholders
- Detail‑driven, commercially minded, and proactive in identifying risks
