Summary

Nursery Room Leader (Level 3) – £13.20 per hour – Permanent



This nursery is the newest addition to our client’s growing group and has been thoughtfully designed to provide a welcoming, home-from-home environment where children can develop new skills with confidence. Children enjoy access to a beautiful outdoor woodland area alongside fun, age-specific rooms - ensuring there’s never a dull moment.



This role is ideal for an experienced Early Years Practitioner or Room Leader who is confident managing a room on a day-to-day basis. You will be comfortable making routine decisions, organising staff and activities, and maintaining high standards with minimal supervision.



Before You Apply



  • This role requires recent experience working as a Room Leader or senior practitioner within an early years setting.

  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above) is essential.

  • This position is not suitable for candidates without leadership responsibility at room level.



Key Job Details



  • £13.20 per hour

  • 40 hours per week, worked across 4 or 5 days

  • Permanent contract

  • Early Years Nursery setting

What You’ll Need



  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or higher

  • Recent experience as a Room Leader or senior practitioner

  • Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements

  • Confidence managing routines, staff deployment, and room planning



What You’ll Do



  • Lead the day-to-day running of your designated nursery room

  • Plan and oversee age-appropriate activities in line with EYFS

  • Maintain safeguarding, welfare, and ratio requirements

  • Guide and support practitioners within the room

  • Communicate effectively with parents and senior staff

  • Monitor observations, learning journals, and room standards
