The Opportunity
As our Exams Accreditation Officer, you will play a crucial role in the management and administration of our exam accreditation processes. You will ensure that all qualifications are accredited in line with regulatory and awarding body requirements and support our examiners to ensure the smooth operation of exam-related functions. Your responsibilities will include coordinating the exam accreditation process, ensuring all documentation is submitted accurately and on time, and liaising with external exam bodies and accrediting agencies to maintain up-to-date accreditation information.
You’ll maintain accurate records of accredited qualifications and ensure compliance with awarding bodies and regulatory standards. You will also support in creating, updating, and maintaining exam-related materials, ensuring they meet accreditation requirements. Working closely with our internal departments, you will help ensure the timely submission of exam paperwork, such as entry forms and other documentation. You will also provide guidance to our staff and students on the exam accreditation process and regulatory requirements, assisting with reports and documentation for audits or external inspections.
You will be responsible for responding to enquiries from staff, learners, and external bodies, both by phone and in person. You will manage and support college examinations and exam invigilators across multiple sites and other venues as needed. In addition, you will ensure compliance with internal and external audit guidance, as well as data protection and freedom of information legislation. Providing guidance, training, and advice to staff and learners on examination processes and procedures will also be a key part of your role.
This is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking to make a significant impact in the education sector. If you enjoy working in a collaborative environment and have a keen eye for detail, this role offers you the chance to play a key part in ensuring exams are accredited accurately and efficiently.
About You
We’re looking for someone that is detail-oriented and proactive. You’ll need a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy. You’ll be handling sensitive documentation and ensuring compliance with accreditation processes, so attention to detail is essential in this role.
Strong communication skills are key, as you’ll be liaising with external exam bodies, staff, and students. Clear and confident verbal and written communication will also be crucial for success. You’ll also need excellent organisational and time management skills to manage deadlines, coordinate paperwork, and support multiple sites and exam invigilators.
Problem-solving abilities will be important, as you’ll need to think on your feet and address challenges quickly and effectively. Familiarity with regulatory standards, accreditation, or exams would be an advantage, but the ability to quickly learn and adapt is equally important.
Collaboration will play a significant part in your role, so being a team player is essential. You’ll work closely with various departments, examiners, and external agencies, so you must be comfortable in a collaborative environment. Previous experience in exams coordination or a similar administrative role would be beneficial, but your passion for the education sector and willingness to learn will make you a great fit.
