Summary
We are pleased to advertise a full time post at IMT3/ST4+ level in respiratory medicine at the Barnet hospital site of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a range of respiratory inpatients including those requiring acute NIV, as well as the opportunity to gain valuable experience in respiratory outpatient clinics and procedures including bronchoscopy, EBUS and pleural procedures.
The post will be a six-month fixed term position available from February 2026 to August 2026, the focus will be to support the in-patient and outpatient care of respiratory patients as part of a team of respiratory speciality trainees.
This post is suitable for a trainee with IMT experience who wishes to gain more experience in respiratory medicine and would provide excellent preparation for a candidate considering an application for respiratory medicine specialty training.
Although not a recognised training post the vacancy is due to no trainee being allocated for this period.
Our department is strong on developing our resident doctors and the post holder will be able to access similar educational opportunities within the hospital as our training registrars. There will be an opportunity to undertake educational, academic or quality improvement projects whilst in post.
